Most flooring with adequate thermal conductivity can be installed on underfloor heating if they are in a condition to withstand the stresses that occur under the action of underfloor heating and rapid changes in microclimate.
Mostly the flooring must be installed by gluing to the underfloor heating. With wood flooring, some woods are not suitable for underfloor heating. For textile, cork and rubber floor coverings the thickness of the flooring is an important factor, as these coverings have greater heat resistance than wood or vinyl. Laminate should be laid on underlay that conducts heat well.
Underfloor heating must be connected and passing protocol of underfloor heating prior to the installation of floor coverings. It is necessary to take into account the characteristics of the particular type of underfloor heating (radiant heating, electrical heating etc.). The temperature at the surface of the substrate (under floor) should not exceed 27-29 ͦ C.
When first starting it up, after installing the flooring, it is necessary to raise the temperature gradually to adapt materials to increase of temperature and to reduce the possibility of internal tensions and damages.
